We had a very short week at Lake International, with students off on Thursday and Friday. We had very productive discussions about thoughts and feelings around the powerpoint. We shared negative thoughts that we could change. We also read a testimonial by a 13 year old boy, who was told by his father that he should never cry, and wrote reactions in our journals. Many students shared that they had been told the same thing by their parents, and how hard that makes it for them when they are grieving.
We ended the week by watching the movie The Quiet about a deaf girl who finds herself being pursued by a predator. We reflected on how the main character’s actions were affected by her emotions. We had so much fun together reacting to this scary movie!
Here are some pictures of us trying not to scream!!
